About the Journal

International Journal of Legal Theory and Philosophy (IJOTOP) is an open access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by JE Publisher, Indonesia. The journal focuses on theoretical and philosophical studies of law while fostering interdisciplinary dialogue through approaches in legal history, legal sociology, legal psychology, legal politics, and the dynamics of contemporary legal development. IJOTOP serves as a scholarly forum for legal theorists, philosophers of law, academics, and researchers to examine the conceptual foundations of law, normative frameworks, legal discovery, as well as legal change and legal thought across both universal and local contexts. In doing so, IJOTOP is committed to expanding critical understanding of law and enriching academic discourse at the national, regional, and global levels.

Regarding the paperless policy at our institution, IJOTOP does not provide printed journals or any documents in hard copy. All documents, including journal issues and authorship certificates, are made available online. Should authors require printed versions of the journal or an authorship certificate, please contact our editor (additional charges will apply). The International Journal of Legal Theory and Philosophy (IJOTOP) is committed to presenting high-quality articles in the fields of legal theory and philosophy, as well as interdisciplinary studies relevant to the development of contemporary legal thought. IJOTOP provides opportunities for anyone—students, lecturers, researchers, and legal practitioners—to submit their best manuscripts to the journal. IJOTOP accepts manuscript submissions throughout the year without a specific deadline, except for certain themes published in Special Issues. In addition, IJOTOP welcomes collaboration opportunities for publishing the outcomes of Seminars and Conferences in either Special or Regular Issues.
